Today was Avery's official adoption day! She is now Avery Peace ChunHu Bailey!
What we are learning about Avery: She seems very easy going. She was very well behaved while we had to sit and wait at all the different office buildings to do adoption paperwork. She is very independent and wants to do everything by herself! She loves to share: her food, stickers, etc. She can take a shower by herself. When told it is bedtime, she lays right down and settles down with no problems. She loves cabbage, chicken nuggets and these little Chinese jello cups. She does not seem to be picky at all with what she eats. Even though her legs are very deformed and bent, she seems to be able to do everything! Attached is a picture taken at lunch at KFC.
Things to pray for: She continues to like Robert, but is still struggling with me. I am better prepared for this than I was with Annaston's adoption and know it will get better. She was VERY close to her Nanny and I know she views me as her replacement. Please pray for her to attach to me more. Please pray for her transition as we go to the next city in China. This will be her first time on an airplane. Please pray she will accept new clothes. I know, a weird request, but all she will wear is clothes she brought from the orphanage. She only brought one outfit and one pair of pajamas with her.
