Tried to send this out last night, but I was having computer probelms
It has been a very long day! I woke up at 4 am and could not get back to sleep. It is now about 10 pm and I am about to fall over! We went to see the Temple of Heaven in Beijing this morning, went to a Starbucks and lunch and then off to the train station. They only give a couple of minutes for a huge crowd to get on the train before it leaves and we almost missed the train. Here in Jinan, Michael our guide is very nice. Avery showed up at our hotel about ten minutes after we arrived. She cried and cried and wanted nothing to do with me. It broke my heart. Her nanny and I were both crying. They decided it was best to come to our room and we all sat on the floor and played toys with her. Slowly but surely we won her over and all of a sudden she said, "See you tomorrow" to her Nanny.
We had a few rough minutes of her trying to call her Nanny on the phone (she has the number and knows how to use the phone) and of her trying to leave the room.
She loves electronics and is now very happy playing on the LeapPad. What a life saver!
Tomorrow we meet the guide in the lobby at 8:45 am and have a full day of adoption paperwork.
